2003-2008 Senior Structural Project Manager L R Nelson Consulting Engineers, Las Vegas, Nevada Responsible for structural design of commercial and residential buildings, public works structures (bridges, flood control facilities, retaining walls, etc).  Project experience includes many types of construction, i.e., wood framing, masonry walls, rock retaining walls, concrete tilt-up, braced steel frames, cast-in-place concrete and steel moment frames. 

1985-2003 Senior Vice President Poggemeyer Design Group, Las Vegas, Nevada Manager of Structural Engineering and Chief Structural Engineer of Western Regional office. Responsible for structural design of commercial and residential buildings, public works structures (bridges, flood control facilities, wastewater treatment plants, etc) and military projects.  Project experience includes many types of construction, i.e., wood framing, masonry walls, concrete frames, concrete tilt-up, braced steel frames and steel moment frames.  Performed structural plan checks for State of Nevada Public Works Board and several financial institutions.  Other duties included construction administration, directing construction inspectors, preparing structural specifications and construction pay request reviews. 

1976-1985 Project Engineer Clark Consulting Engineers, Toledo, Ohio Responsible for complete structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete storage silos, attendant material handling structures and various support facilities.  Projects were located throughout the United States and stored materials included coal, wheat, corn, gypsum and sand.  Other duties included investigation and evaluation of existing structures, determination of proper repair procedures, construction administration and cost estimating.

ROD WIEDENKELLER - Consultant

EMPLOYMENT

Mr. Wiedenkeller has worked in Southern Nevada since September 1976.  He has been a principal of Edward DeLorenzo Architects, JMA Architects and his own architectural firm, Rodney L. Wiedenkeller, Architect. 

In his firm from 1993 through April of 2007 Mr. Wiedenkeller worked on contract to develop major projects for other architectural firms including: The Luxor Hotel and Casino,

He has been involved in forensic architecture since 1995 as an expert witness on various construction defect cases, fire insurance disputes and slip/trip and fall cases for both defense and plaintiff.  He has testified on slip/trip and fall cases in depositions, arbitrations and court on ten or more occasions.  He has testified on construction defect cases in depositions and arbitrations in excess of thirty-five occasions.
